Grade one listed building on Propect Square in Westbury needed a re-roof due to on going leaks. We re-used the original clay plain tiles replacing any broken ones for reclaimed to match the existing. To finish, we installed new leadwork up against the main house.
Two new build roofs in Chirton near Devizes on the Salisbury road. Both with new felt, batten, 20/10 natural slate, slate ridge tiles installed on a dry system, grey fascias and soffits, and detailed lead work to dormer window seal.
The roof is complete but we were waiting on a decision for the correct material to use for the dormer cheeks.
This re-roof was carried out in the summer of 2016. The client in Whitley wanted to change the look of his concrete double roman tile roof. He choose natural slate to compliment the cream render of the building.
First we removed the old tiles, felt and batten. We then replaced this with new breather membrane underlay and treated 2/1 roofing battens. We then installed 24/12 natural slates with lead checks on the dormer windows and leadwork to chimney. An EPDM rubber membrane flat roof was also laid. New slate ridge tiles were installed on mortar, and newly painted timber fascia boards were fitted. Finally a black half round guttering was fitted to finish the roof.
